This is My Profession: Alexandra McGowen

February 9, 2015 by

Alexandra McGowen
Financial Planner, RGT Financial Advisors, Dallas, Texas

Do you encourage women to look into a career in financial planning?

“I think it’s a really great opportunity. You get to experience a challenging environment in terms of things you have to learn and retain but you also get to have relationships with your clients, which are so important and come naturally to a lot of women.”

Alex Weber McGowen is a member of the Roberston, Greige & Thoele Financial Planning Team. Prior to joining RGT, Alex was a financial analyst at Simmons & Company International, a boutique investment bank in Houston. As an analyst, Alex helped to provide M&A advisory and capital market services to public and private companies in the energy industry.

Alex graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Honors and Finance. While at A&M, Alex competed as a Professional Triathlete for two years and was chosen to represent the USA at the World University Games in 2010. Alex will be pursing her CFP® certification.
