Christopher M. Brown, CFP®
Managing Partner and President, Houston Asset Management
How have you tailored your profession as a financial planner to fit your personal agenda?
“I take a little bit different strategy when meeting my clients. Many clients find our office intimidating, as well as, the drive for many of our clients is difficult. This year, I’ve made a big effort to go to the client’s house and sit around their kitchen table and kinda go back old school. I also leave the suit and tie at the office and I try to be as personable as possible. I’m finding that that investment is developing better long-term relationships and making that money stickier.”
Christopher’s career with Houston Asset Management began in the summer of 1998 as a college intern. After earning a B.S. in Economics with a Business minor from Texas A&M University, Christopher returned to Houston Asset Management in September 2003. He has since gone on to complete the University of St. Thomas financial planning program. In January 2014, Christopher became a managing partner and President of Houston Asset Management.
Christopher became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practioner in 2006. He is a Registered Representative with SagePoint Financial, Inc., a registered broker/dealer firm, member of FINRA and SIPC.
