Is there a need for diversity within the financial planning profession?
“We need way more students to be entering this [financial planning] profession. We’re on the cusp of a major change right now due to a broader diversity in client base. Because of this, we need a more diverse population to serve those clients. So, I think it’s a great opportunity for students to come into the field and bring their background and expertise into the profession and learn from others who have already established their firms and be able to merge those and have that synergy and mentorship.”
Sophia Bera, CFP® has been in the financial planning industry since 2007 and is the founder of Gen Y Planning.
