Vision & Mission

Our vision is to develop future leaders in value-based financial planning. We build upon the pillars of the university: excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service.

Excellence

Students from the program will exhibit behavior that separates them from their peer groups. It will be evidenced in the quality of instructional materials, interaction with students, and preparation for successful careers.

Integrity

At the core of every student is the honor code: “Aggies do not lie, cheat or steal nor tolerate those that do”.  This ingrained value starts in the classroom and carries forward to the fiduciary standard our students will demonstrate with their clients.

Leadership

This value is infused in the learning experiences of the program through role modeling, mentoring, team work, and issue-oriented teaching. We expect our students to compete at the national level in financial planning events and our alumni to be recognized nationwide as industry leaders of thought and practice.

Loyalty and Respect

As a university steeped in traditions, our students know well the value of loyalty and respect for those who have paved the way for opportunity.

Selfless Service

Students from the program will actively engage in efforts to promote financial education through peer-to-peer interaction on campus and primary educational institutions across the state.
