Undergraduate Programs

The Financial Planning Program at Texas A&M University is thrilled to offer a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning and a Minor in Financial Planning. These two programs are available to students who have been admitted to Texas A&M University as an undergraduate student.

Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications. With a focus on industry-relevant skills and real-world experiences, students are well-prepared to navigate the thriving landscape of financial planning.


Financial Planning – Bachelor of Science

The Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning is a 120-credit hour program that prepares students to develop comprehensive, tailored financial strategies for clients. Students study a variety of topics such as savings and investments, income tax planning, retirement income planning, debt management, estate planning, risk management, and client communication while utilizing industry-standard technology applications.

Financial Planning – Minor

The Minor in Financial Planning is an 18-credit hour program available to all junior or senior undergraduate students enrolled at Texas A&M University. Students pursuing the minor will learn the principles of financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, risk management, tax planning, and estate planning.
