How to register for Summer 2026 Courses:
We transitioned to a new registration system in Spring 2026. You can view the full listing of courses here – or you can use the individual links below.
Students who were previously enrolled (Fall 2025 or before) and did not take classes in Spring 2026 will need to create a new account during the registration process. Please use the same email address so that your old account is linked to your new account. Contact us if you need help with your account.
Course Access
You will access the course through https://tamu.instructure.com. Content will be made available to you on the first day of class.
The course registration system will automatically place you into the course, but you will not see content until the first day of class. The username and password selected during the course registration process will be the same credentials you use to access the course.
Withdrawal & Refund Schedule
- On or before May 31: 90%
- After May 31 and on/before June 21: 60%
- After June 21 and on/before July 19: 30%
- After July 19: No refund
To initiate the withdrawal process, please contact us directly via email – financialplanning@tamu.edu. The system does not automatically process refunds, nor does it notify us when you withdraw from a course. Refunds can only be issued manually through our office.

FPCC 435 Financial Planning Fundamentals
This course provides a comprehensive overview of financial planning from a professional perspective. Topics covered include financial analysis, budgeting, credit management, time value of money, investment strategies, income taxes, risk management, retirement, and estate planning.

FPCC 436 Insurance & Risk Management
This course equips students with the knowledge and tools needed to evaluate personal and business risk exposure and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Students will learn how to conduct an insurance needs analysis for clients and evaluate insurance contracts for life, disability, long-term care, and health insurance.

FPCC 437 Tax Planning for Professionals
This course applies the principles of income tax planning to enhance household income after taxes. Emphasis is placed on understanding tax laws, concepts, and rules, as well as opportunities for planning. Students will learn how to identify and implement useful tax planning strategies while focusing on practical application for tax professionals and financial planners.

FPCC 441 Financial Plan Development & Capstone
This course provides an overview of all areas in the financial planning process, data gathering, approaches to financial planning, analysis of financial statements, and client presentation
Students are required to complete the six pre-requisite courses with a ‘C’ or better before enrolling in the Capstone course. The pre-requisite courses are: 435, 436, 437, 438, 439, and 440.
