Overview of Events for Students

9:00 AM – NOON | Career Fair
If you are seeking an internship or full-time position for wealth management, financial planning, financial analyst, or financial advising, then this will be the best opportunity for you to connect with companies looking to hire. We have a wide range of companies participating this year, so be sure to check out the list below and do your research ahead of time.

The 9:00-10:00AM hour is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in financial planning courses, active in the Financial Planning Student Association, and/or currently enrolled in the Financial Planning minor. All majors and all classifications are invited to attend from 10:00AM – Noon.

Noon – 1:00 PM | Lunch (ticketed event)
Attendees who register for the lunch are invited to network with industry professionals and event sponsors before we move into the afternoon events. This is a ticketed event, so if you wish to join us for lunch, please register for Option 2 below.

1:00 – 3:00 PM | Student Showcase Presentations
We are so excited to introduce this new element that pairs students with mentors in the profession. The idea is to help our students grow in their presentation skills while engaging with industry professionals. Students will be provided a financial planning case and solution in advance, then assigned a 20-minute slot on October 27 to present their plan.

3:30 – 4:30PM | TEDx Style Talks
A long-time crowd favorite, this session features a blend of recent former students, seasoned industry professionals, and industry experts who share insightful messages with our audience.

4:30 – 5:30PM | Networking & Welcome Reception (ticketed event)
Attendees are invited to network and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres before we move into the evening events.

6:00 – 8:00 PM | Student Recognition & Awards Banquet (Registration required, limited ticketed event)
Come help us wrap-up the day and celebrate our outstanding students while networking with industry professionals and program supporters. Scholarship winners will be recognized and outstanding former students will be celebrated for their achievements. This is a ticketed event, so if you wish to join us, please register for Option 2 below.
